Zombie Girlfriend
We took about 22+ home recordings to James Stapleford, a producer I worked with on "A Taste Of What's To Come". The idea was to clean up the tracks best we could and add some things here and there. I know Corey recorded most of this stuff as reference only. Some of the tracks are really amazing and you can hear the intensity in Corey's playing, especially on his tapping songs and instrumental guitar pieces. With Corey being gone, I made all the decisions on what songs to use and the order for each disc. I felt he guided me somewhat and I hope he would be pleased with the outcome. I love everything about this song. The guitar playing is magical, the changes are unique and definitely outside the box. The melody is catchy and the lyrics have that humor with a touch of sarcasm that everyone loved in Corey. I put on some back harmonies. I'd love to try this with my band someday and hear it with bass, drums and piano. Totally awesome songwriter was Corey.
